Clarification: When I write, I don't prepare or organize my ideas, I just write what I would say if I was talking to you in person, so sometimes my blogs end up a little messy. I don't even proof-read what I write before posting it so you may find grammatical mistakes and poorly written sentences. Sometimes I'll read my blogs a day or two after publishing them and I may re-write things that weren't too clear and any embarrassing grammatical mistake. Also, English is not my first language, so I apologize if reading my blogs become a struggle. Of course, if this is the case, I would imagine you wouldn't continue reading.

It's The Fucking Grammys...

Why do people feel the need to justify the decision of the Grammys panel to give the Best Album Of The Year award to Beck instead of Beyonce, just because a jackass disagrees? Not just a jackass, but a jackass with a history of being a jackass at other similar awards ceremony

Why did Taylor Swift didn't get the same kind of support Beck is having now?

Besides, I don't know, it was pretty obvious to me, the whole thing was staged. Whether this was something that was planned by the Grammys people themselves (to give some "reality TV dramatic touch" to their lame parade) or something Kanye West did on his own as a publicity stunt, is unclear, but it's very clear it's just an act. Your anti-Kanye reaction just shows you just fell for it and you are now part of their plan.

Plus, it's the fucking Grammys, a bunch of old businessman patting their own backs and empowering a handful of record labels that control most of the market and who are far more interested in making money than putting out good music.

Remember that time when Heavy Metal was introduced as a new genre... after being mainstream for 10 years or more... and a prog rock band that features a flute, Jethro Tull, won the award over Metallica's "...And Justice For All" album?

What the fuck do they know? I bet the get their nominees from their grand kids iPods. I've always thought of the Grammys as the awards they give to the artists that my parents listen to. How many really important and influential artists have never even been nominated?

And not to disrespect Beck artistry, but what the hell? I mean, he does deserve the album of the year award... like 10 years ago.

It's the fucking Grammys, who the fuck cares?

Additionally, music or any other form of art is not really a competition, what makes an artist better than another? What makes an album better than another? Who decides which one is better? Even if only the popular vote was accounted, it doesn't make a piece of music better than another.
