Clarification: When I write, I don't prepare or organize my ideas, I just write what I would say if I was talking to you in person, so sometimes my blogs end up a little messy. I don't even proof-read what I write before posting it so you may find grammatical mistakes and poorly written sentences. Sometimes I'll read my blogs a day or two after publishing them and I may re-write things that weren't too clear and any embarrassing grammatical mistake. Also, English is not my first language, so I apologize if reading my blogs become a struggle. Of course, if this is the case, I would imagine you wouldn't continue reading.

The Killer Truth About Aspartame

I can't remember the number of times I've had a conversation about this infamous food sweetener, and it's mind boggling the amount of incorrect information people will spread convinced it's the truth, even when they don't know where it came from or that it came from a very sketchy source. I'm going to attempt to put an end to the aspartame debate, which hasn't been a real debate for quite a while.

What is aspartame?

Aspartame is a dipeptide consisting in two amino acids:

ASPARTIC ACID: natural occurring amino acid found in sprouting seeds, young sugarcane, molasses from sugar beets, wild game.

L-PHENYLALANINE: essential amino acid used to form proteins and found in breast milk.

Aspartame was found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety (90) countries worldwide (that's a lots of scientists and studies) and it's one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives ever.

That's all you need to know about aspartame. If you catch yourself trying to find ways to show that aspartame is harmful, you may be suffering from Conspirotheoritis, because I don't think it's normal to believe without evidence (faith), that such a huge conspiracy could survive for over 30 years basically unchallenged, or challenged by very lame efforts. Think about it.

When it comes to public health conspiracies, I keep hearing "follow the money", like every single scientist in the world can be bought, like they were all puppets that don't care about science or public health or the simply knowing the truth, which I believe is the reason they decided to follow the scientific path in the first place. No, they just want a few more dollars, and to hell with humanity! Or like there was no recognition, merit, and satisfaction in finding
overwhelming proof that science was wrong, or worse, that there's a corrupted network of scientists which decided to put public health at risk in exchange of monetary gain. I can believe you can corrupt a few scientists, but not all of them.

The truth killed your conspiracy. Time to find a better one, my friend.
